Our Mission

Seabury Performance's goal is to help individuals and teams achieve their goals and maximise their performance while enjoying the process.

In the past few years, society has awakened to the importance of mental health and performance. It is no longer a 'taboo topic' or something that can be ignored. Mental fitness is just as important as physical fitness for our health and for our chances of success.

Through cognitive training, we can sharpen our thinking, reactivity, and decision-making. Through coaching, training, and focused practice, we can mentally stay at the top of our game.

This two-part proactive approach helps individuals and teams find not only optimal performance strategies but also ways to balance the stress and pressure of success and competition with happiness and calm.

We understand that life is about balance. We are here to help you achieve your current goals and those you haven't even realised yet.

Dr Tom Seabury CPsychol has founded Seabury Performance after developing a wealth of experience in understanding athletes and performance sport. He is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and an experienced sporting coach.

At the core of Tom's professional path has been an unwavering commitment to coaching. With nearly a decade and a half of experience, he has profoundly impacted the lives of thousands of athletes across various ages and skill levels. His coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in principles of empowerment, resilience, and the holistic development of each athlete, aiming not just to enhance performance but to foster personal growth and mental fortitude.

Undertaking a PhD in Psychology focused on elite sporting performance at Swansea University; he delved into the psychological facets that separate top-tier athletes from their peers. His recent research has been recognised and published in a leading academic journal, contributing valuable insights to the field of performance psychology and offering innovative approaches to coaching that bridge theory and practice.

This amalgamation of hands-on coaching experience and scholarly research has allowed Tom to develop a nuanced understanding of the athlete's psyche. His work is dedicated to crafting coaching strategies that are not only scientifically sound but also empathetically tailored to meet the individual needs of athletes, promoting peak performance, well-being, and resilience.

He creates an environment of support where athletes are encouraged to push beyond their perceived limits, exploring and expanding their capabilities in a setting of mutual trust and respect. Whether through personalised coaching sessions, team development workshops, or scholarly contributions, his goal remains steadfast: to unlock and elevate the potential within each athlete, guiding them to achievements beyond their aspirations.
